We distinguish the three most famous runic letters:ġ. They got this name from the first six runes (Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raidho, Kaunan). Runic alphabets used by Norse people are also called "futharks". Even though Vikings may be gone, their spirit isn't, as in northern Europe, runes were used for decorative purposes until the beginning of the 20th century!
